The three races thing is just a generalization. Like they're saying at a point when there was only so many ppl, that the separation eventually lead to 3 main types of peoples. Elizabeth is the daughter of my ancestors James Butler 1st earl of Ormonde b. 1304 Arklow, Ireland - 1338 & his wife Eleanor de Bohun Countess of Ormonde 1304 - 1363. I descend from their daughter Petronilla Butler 1332 - 1368 m. Gilbert Talbot 3rd Earl Talbot. Petronilla Butler Talbot thus is the sister-in-law of Gerald FitzGerald 1335 - 1398.

The other FitzGerald ancestor in my Tree I am most curious about but lack much in the way of specific knowledge. She was Margaret FitzGerald b. 1273 Ofaly Kildare, Athy, County Kildare, Ireland (meaning she is likely related to Maurice FitzGerald 3rd Lord of Offlay I just posted below somehow, but don't ask me specifics at this time). All I really know about Margaret FitzGerald is she married a man named John de Cusack and I descend from their son also named John Cusack who was born in 1320 and his wife was Joan de Geneville b. 1325. Presumably she is of the family (cousin of some generation) of the Joan de Geneville 1286 - 1356 who married Roger de Mortimer 1st Earl of March (they are also my ancestors) who jailed King Edward II of England and held power until overthrown by Edward II son Edward III of England. But don't ask me how the 2 Joan de Genevilles ares linked exactly I have not explored the de Genevilles either.

I checked my tree and I do indeed have a couple dangling FitzGeralds waiting to be researched. Probably the easiest to track back might be Maurice FitzGerald 1238 - 1283 3rd Lord of of Offlay. His wife was Maud de Pendergrast 1242 - ? Via a daughter named JulieAne FitzGerald born about 1263 in Dublin d. 1300 in Thomond, Connaught. Clare, Ireland and she marries in the de Clare family (Thomas de Clare 1245 - 1287).
